Moonlight, sunlight, when we humans experience light we feel better. Somehow, opening the drapes in the morning is a welcoming task. Like turning on the lights when you arrive home after a busy workday, it just lifts our spirits. And after a long Wisconsin winter we can see the spaces that need light: the mirror over the bathroom sink is dark. The kitchen island where you grab a smoothie and where the kids do homework after school never has enough light. The family room where the good times roll could be a lot more fun. Springtime seems to awaken the craving to rejuvenate our living spaces. Adding light just makes us feel good.
In January we shared the #1 trend in home décor this season. Recreating home spaces that make us feel good, that reflect us in every room, and every task makes us feel happier. As spring arrives it’s time to start. Why not tuck your dining table under a wonderful chandelier for those dinners when no one wants to leave the table? Or shine a light on your home office? Could you create a wonderful little powder room for family and guests? Let the springtime projects begin! We’re here to help with advice and inspiration.
