Holidays At Home

Holidays At Home

Oct 31st 2025 Staff

Here in Wisconsin, we ease ourselves into the darkest days of the year with Thanksgiving, Hannukah, Christmas, Diwali, Kwanza, and New Year’s Eve. How? By celebrating light. There are festivals of light around the world, and we bring it home with holiday lights. But indoors, it becomes clear that we are missing some important light: the kitchen feels shadowy and it’s an annoying chore to cook there. The family room may have a central light, but it doesn’t feel comforting. And the bathroom? Impossible to get dressed up at that mirror.

Does the house seem a little sad even when you have all the lights on? We hear that every single day from customers at Madison Lighting. “How do I make it warm and welcoming in my kitchen?” “How can I make the family room the space the family loves to be?” “How do you light a bathroom so everyone has the light they need?” Light is a powerful tool that really does affect your emotions, your well-being. And now the holidays are coming. Let’s welcome family and friends to well-lit spaces that feel just right.

We are sharing some wonderful images of lighting we designed for customers on Instagram and on Facebook. Our TRENDING features more ideas. But it’s our design staff with their powerful tools, the right light, placed perfectly that takes your space from a little sad to rooms that lift your mood and your well-being.

Reach out to one of our Lighting Designers and set a time to share your need for light in your own style. Their expertise is included with your purchase. See you in the showroom.
