Recently a customer invited us in to see what she’s been doing with some of our lighting in her Middleton Hills, Middleton WI home. Wendy has the most enviable eclectic way of combining vintage, tribal, Asian and Mission pieces gathered from travels with her husband as well as “secret shopping sources” into this warm cocoon of a house. She infuses their daily life with beauty and art, and together they enjoy the simplest pleasures of a life well lived. This fixture, called Vertigo by Corbett, hangs over her stairway, and it was great to see it used in such a unique setting. A bit about this fixture, it’s made by Corbett, a smaller manufacturer that uses stylized and unique materials to create works of great interest like this one. It looks different from every angle (see more photos at HOUZZ http://www.houzz.com/photos/users/madlig) and that’s just part of it’s charm. It buzzes with the vintage poster hanging in the landing, it beckons you upward to the second floor, and it gives the impression of great decorating confidence, something this do-it-yourselfer has in spades. We were delighted to learn that Madison Lighting is one of her secret shopping sources for our mirrors, pillows, artwork and of course amazing lighting.
