Holidays At Home Part 2

Holidays At Home Part 2

Dec 4th 2025 Staff

Winter arrived this weekend, not the solstice, but the SNOW! And the darkness is profound as days continue to even get shorter. In the showroom we work with customers to create moments of light with a portrait light over a favorite piece of art, a sconce that shines down on a niche in a dark hallway, and undercabinet light to bring out the texture and color of a backsplash as well as create a wonderful place to prep meals. Arriving home from work each day we turn on every light to create our own welcome. Clearly and we bring it home with holiday lights. But indoors, it becomes clear that we are missing some important light: the kitchen feels shadowy and it’s an annoying chore to cook there. The family room may have a central light, but it doesn’t feel comforting. And the bathroom? Impossible to get dressed up at that mirror.

We’ve been thinking about light as the powerful tool it is. It plays on our emotions, so we’ve learned to create the right light for each customer. The light you need is unique to you. As we work together in the showroom, we ask customers “how do want to feel using this room,” or “that space.” We draw a direct line from how you feel in a room to the light and the lighting there.

Our team of Lighting Designers are here for you as you work to develop your own style. And their expertise costs you no more. You’ll love our local service. See you soon.
