The curve is shaping our lives as we embrace an entirely new look. Arched architectural elements are everywhere from doorways to mirrors and backsplashes. It was only natural that lighting would follow the curve. Arches and scalloped edges soften spaces and we’re seeing ovens and cooktops tucked into built in coves. The elements have a heritage feel, something you’ll want to keep for a long time.

Chair backs are following the curve, too, upholstered in cozy velvet. This year many of the homes we worked on added the element of island seating with curved chairbacks echoing the lighting above. Dining chairs followed suit and reflected the materials and the shape of the chandelier over the table. And in the bath, shapely sconce lighting rides over curved mirror.
