Bathed in Light

Refreshing your bathrooms? It’s a project that pays off every single day. The tiny powder room that everyone uses? The kid’s bath that requires a certain durability? Your primary bath that functions as a retreat? Start with these tips from our pro’s and avoid mistakes that haunt you.

Bathrooms are so small that simplicity is critical. Every element is always on view, so choose the best quality you can afford. And moisture can do harm to every so be sure your materials will stand up to the damp.

Interior Designers suggest installing what you’ll use only, a crowded bathroom feels uncomfortable. Include storage as a part of the décor. Keep the whole space functional so it’s easy to move around in, especially if you share the space with your partner! Let in natural light with a skylight if you can. Now, add layers of light. You’ll need a combination of ambient light and task lighting. A combination of a beautiful fixture that bathes the space in light can bring your style up to the ceiling. And sconces next to the mirror just above eye level combine with recessed lighting to banish shadows when you’re at the mirror.
