Order, Return and Warranty Policies
We accept: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, personal checks, cashier’s checks, traveler’s checks and company checks. Please be sure to provide your exact billing address and telephone number (i.e. the address and phone number your credit card bank has on file for you). Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing your order. Orders will be processed once payment is received.

You may cancel an order that has not been shipped by the manufacturer unless it is a special order or custom product. Any cancellation fees imposed by the manufacturer will be your responsibility and will be deducted from your refund. All cancellations must be confirmed in writing or email by our personnel.
Madison Lighting offers free shipping on all orders over to locations within the continental 48 US states. Shipments will be made via FedEx or UPS Ground service; sorry we do not ship to Hawaii, Alaska, or locations outside the United States. Please provide a street address including zip code, we cannot deliver to P.O. boxes.
Orders typically take 1 to 3 weeks for delivery, however we cannot guarantee when an order will arrive, factory shipment delivery dates are the best estimates of our suppliers. Occasionally production schedules change and a product will be temporarily out of stock, this can cause delays that are beyond our control. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if your order has not been received in the time expected and we will track your order as soon as we receive notice. Free shipping does not apply to sale items, clearance items, mirrors or furniture.
Over-sized items that need to be shipped via freight lines do not qualify for free shipping. Oversized, under minimum and expedited shipment is available for an additional charge. Please contact us directly at email@example.com for additional information. Additional shipping charges will be applied and collected at the time of order.
For a multiple product order, we will make every attempt to ship all products contained in the order at the same time. Products that are unavailable at the time of shipping will be shipped as they become available unless you inform us otherwise.
In Store Pick-up
If you prefer, your merchandise can be delivered to our facility at 6701 Watts Rd., Madison, WI for pick-up at your convenience with no shipping charges incurred.
Madison Lighting is committed to your complete satisfaction when it comes to your lighting purchases. If you are unsatisfied for any reason, simply notify us within 14 days of receipt and receive a refund on most products. To initiate the process, e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 608-271-6911 during regular showroom hours and request a Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) number. We will need to know:
- Name and address
- Order number
- Items to be returned
- Brief explanation of the reason for return
We will then e-mail you return instructions and the confirmed authorization form which must be inserted into the package prior to shipping. Items must then be return to us within 30 days of receipt with the valid and completed RGA form. Packages returned without a valid RGA form will not be processed. Shipping charges for the return shipment are the responsibility of the customer. Refunds are made once the returned product is inspected to insure the product is complete, undamaged, in the original packaging, and was not installed or modified. A 25% restocking fee will be charged on all returned merchandise, unless defective. Your original shipping and processing charges will not be refunded, if applicable. Any clearance or custom order item is not eligible for refund, if these products are defective, Madison Lighting will repair or replace the item.
Please do not request a charge back from your credit card company during the return process. Due to the time it takes to resolve charge back disputes, it is usually better to be patient and wait for the return process to run its course. If a charge back has been submitted, we will not be able to credit you for your return until the charge back mediation process has been completed. This process can take up to 180 days.
Merchandise that has been damaged in the return transit is non-refundable by Madison Lighting but would be refundable from the shipping carrier as long as the items are insured and a claim has been made to the shipping carrier. We recommend you insure your return shipment. Madison Lighting cannot issue a refund if your product is returned damaged from the carrier and is not insured.
If you prefer, returns can be made in person at our facility during regular showroom hours with no shipping charges or liability incurred.
Damaged or Defective Product
Please inspect your merchandise immediately upon delivery. If the packaging appears to be visually damaged you have the right to refuse delivery from the carrier. Or you can conditionally accept delivery by signing the shipper’s proof-of delivery with a note stating the package appears to be damaged. If you refuse delivery please notify us immediately and a replacement product will be shipped as soon as possible. If you do accept a damaged shipment, please inform us and the carrier within 24 hours of receipt. We will assist you in working through the claim procedure and return the damaged product via the procedure listed above.
We will gladly accept the return of products that are defective due to defects in manufacturing and/or workmanship for 30 days from the date of receipt. Fulfillment mistakes that we make resulting in the shipment of incorrect product to you will also be accepted for return 30 days from the date of receipt. Please utilize the return procedures listed above.
Please note that returned items found to be in working condition or shipped as ordered will be subject to the 25% restocking charge.
While the manufacturers do their best to ensure excellent packaging, occasionally glass fixtures get damaged in transit at the hands of a delivery carrier. Items received with broken glass are not considered defective products. Madison Lighting and the manufacturer reserve the right to replace the glass as quickly as possible. In these cases, please contact us to request replacement glass to be sent to you at no additional cost.
All items–excluding bulbs–are offered with a one year warranty. Any defective item that is returned within one year of purchase will be repaired or replaced at the company’s discretion. Installation fees are neither covered nor reimbursed. Repair or replacement of items that are still under warranty will be covered at no charge. Please utilize the return process outlined above to initiate a warranty claim. A copy of your sales receipt is required. We recommend hiring a qualified electrician to install your lighting fixtures; Madison Lighting is not responsible for any damage or defects due to faulty installation.
Pricing or Product Description Discrepancies
Madison Lighting makes every effort to assure the accuracy of the pricing and product information on our website. From time to time, pricing or product information may be inaccurate. Please be advised that all prices and information shown here are subject to verification by our personnel. In the event of a discrepancy, we reserve the right to make any corrections necessary and refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is canceled, we will immediately issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the incorrect price and notify you of the error.
Madison Lighting will automatically charge and withhold the applicable sales tax for all orders to be delivered to addresses within the state of Wisconsin. For orders shipped to other states, you are solely responsible for all sales or other taxes.
