First we should clear the air. We are big fans of LED lighting. That’s a crazy thing for a retailer to say because once our customers have an LED light bulb in their favorite reading lamp they won’t need another for a very, very, very long time. Maybe never. But we love LED bulbs and think they will change everything.
The big news is that the US Department of Energy says they have reduced demand for electricity already and as more cities are installing them in streetlights that demand continues to fall. Statistically we will reduce current demand for electricity by 1/3 sometime in the 2020’s simply by switching out light bulbs.
